DYLAN HARVEY
Chiropractor + Owner

  • Hi everyone, I'm Dylan and I am the extremely proud owner of Shire Spine & Sport. I graduated from Macquarie University in 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. Since graduating I have been fortunate enough to care for an extremely diverse patient base, including children, the elderly, pregnant women, those with disabilities and the rest of the general population. I still see many of these patients today and whilst they bring me a tremendous amount of joy and pride, my passion has always been sports.

I played every sport I possibly could as a child and young adult, and have brought that sporting diversity with me into my work as a chiropractor. A lot of my development was spent running medical programs across the NSW Premier League (Soccer/football) for various clubs (with my incredible mentor) and I have even briefly had the pleasure of working with the A-League. Another sport I have spent significant time with is elite dancing, having worked closely alongside elite full time programs in Sydney, and dancers in the Australian Ballet and major schools and companies in America and Europe. I have also worked with athletes from amatuer to professional status in rugby league, rugby union, cricket, basketball, tennis, swimming, cycling, bodybuilding, AFL, running and my FAVOURITE sport, golf.

I am a golf tragic and have undergone extensive additional training to better assess and improve the performance of golfers at all levels. I am certified with the Titleist Performance Institute and have obtained my Level 2 in both Medical and Power. I have worked with professionals across the Australian and Asian tours, as well as your weekend hackers playing off 36. Whatever your goal, I love helping golfers get better, and when I can get out on my home course, Cronulla GC, I love trying to improve as well.

My WHY for turning up to work every day is that I genuinely love helping people get better. That mentality forms a crucial part of our SSS "ethos" and is something I try to bring to every patient interaction. I've been told that I am not the "conventional" chiropractor, which I take as a compliment, because my approach to care is to combine in-depth assessment/examination and hands on treatment with a focus on strength and gym based exercises to set my patients up for the long term results. When I'm not at work I like to play golf, go to the gym, read, catch up with friends and spend time with my family, especially my beautiful wife Britt and our little man Jack.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you.

MICHAEL GRACE
Strength + Conditioning Coach

  • Hi, I'm Michael. I am a strength and conditioning coach with extensive experience working with the athletic population across a number of sports and age groups. I graduated from Australian Catholic University in 2021, after completing both a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and a Masters of High Performance.

My knowledge and experience comes from working for a number of years within semi professional and professional sport including Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (17s to NSW Reserve Grade), Wests Tigers (19s), NSW City Rugby League (18s) and Inner West Hawks (1st Grade - NSW NPL3). To accompany my experience in professional and semi professional sport, I have worked in youth athletic development with roles at Saint Ignatius' College Riverview and Illawarra Academy of Sport.

My passion is helping people of all walks of life achieve their performance goals. Away from work, you'll catch me enjoying almost every sport at all times while also frequently 3 putting on the golf course.

ANTHONY SAMS
Strength + Conditioning Coach

  • Success in sport is about finding the right mix of enjoyment, discipline, teamwork, and effort. Athletes perform best when they love what they do, but that passion is strengthened by structure and consistency. Progress isn’t just about physical training—it’s about embracing challenges, pushing limits, and showing up with the right mindset.

With a decade of experience in strength and conditioning, I have worked across a range of high-performance environments, coaching professional and semi-professional athletes in various sports. I aim to create an atmosphere where training presents opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. By navigating challenges, athletes build resilience, confidence, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Currently, I serve as Head of High Performance for the North Shore Bombers AFL, overseeing the strength and conditioning programs for 12 teams. Leading a team of strength coaches and physiotherapists, I manage all aspects of athletic preparation, from gym-based programming to return-to-play protocols, injury management, GPS analysis, and game-day. I was proud to contribute to a 20-0 premiership-winning season, a record-breaking achievement for the team (we also won Div 1 and u19s in the same season!).

Beyond AFL, I coach at private sector facilities, working with athletes from different sports. My role includes designing individualized programs, leading gym and field sessions, conducting sport science testing, and mentoring interns. I specialise in long-term athletic development, speed, rehabilitation, and return-to-performance training.

Since 2021, I have been Head of Performance at Randwick Petersham Cricket Club, overseeing strength and conditioning programs and supporting athletes through injury recovery. I am also the founder and coach at AST, where I help individuals reach their fitness and performance goals through practical, evidence-based training. Above all, I try to lead by example. I can’t expect discipline, work ethic, and accountability from my athletes if I don’t embody those values myself.

Coaching is about more than just developing skilled athletes—it’s about shaping strong individuals who thrive under pressure, support their teammates, and take pride in every step of their journey. Qualifications: Masters Strength and Conditioning, ASCA Level 2, Cert 3/4, AWF Level 1, CPR First Aid, B Commerce (Marketing), B Business Administration
